Pay rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on Experience

Full-Time, On-site position in Stafford, TX

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

 

Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for mental health and empowering young women+? OPI Houston is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to lead our Direct Support team at our Transitional Living Program in Stafford, TX. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll play a key part in creating a safe, structured, and healing environment for women+ ages 18–28 navigating trauma recovery and personal growth.

 

As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll guide and support staff, ensure smooth shift operations, and uphold our trauma-informed, attachment-based care model. Your leadership will directly impact the well-being and progress of our clients as they build resilience, independence, and a strong sense of self. OPI Houston empowers women+ ages 18–28 to become strong, self-sufficient, and positively influential in their own lives and communities. Through a blend of therapies—including CBT, equine-assisted therapy, and family and individual counseling—we support healing from trauma and attachment wounds. Our approach integrates trauma-informed modalities, life skills, identity development, and family systems work to foster lasting growth. Clients live in program-leased apartments in Stafford, TX, designed to provide a serene, supportive environment just minutes from Houston.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable:
    • Leads meetings, communicates key info, trains and evaluates staff, rewards excellence, delegates tasks, and ensures team accountability.
  • Residential Trainer:
    • Models and trains leadership standards, caregiver skills, attunement, and relational practices. Ensures mentors provide intentional praise, use corrective teaching effectively, and foster attuned, empathetic relationships with clients. Implements key frameworks and maintains a high standard of training for mentors.
  • Frontline Client Support and Safety:
    • Creates a safe, supportive environment, maintains boundaries, responds to needs, ensures respectful treatment, and follows safety protocols.
  • Shift and Schedule Management:
    • Follows shift processes, supports mentors, organizes client activities, ensures coverage, and maintains a clean campus. Communicates schedules clearly to the team.
  • Documentation:
    • Ensures accurate logs, professional progress notes, timely incident reports, completed drills, and shift summaries. Communicates incidents to the Residential Director and treatment team.
  • Employment Standards:
    • Exemplifies company values, communicates professionally, follows policies, is punctual, maintains training, and adheres to time-off protocols.

Qualifications

  • Age: 21 years of age or older
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. Associates or bachelor's in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Quick decision-making skills and a growth mindset with a focus on Embarks core values.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adolescent populations is preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, will provide training 
  • Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in concordance with Texas state laws.
