Overview

Profile Residential Cook

Candidate will demonstrate the following qualities: hardworking team player, committed, dependable, demonstrates our values. Our values empathy, trusting relationships, growth minded, service minded, and results. Weekly 1:1 meeting/training with supervisor.

 

Shifts are as follows:

Wednesday 1pm-6pm

Thursday - Sunday 10am-6pm,

Off Days Monday & Tuesday.

Responsibilities

Kitchen Staff Expectations (not limited to list)

  • Prepare and cook food for clients and mentor staff.
  • Monitor food service for nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
  • Prepare major meals by following recipes, determining food quantities and following meal time schedules.
  • Maintain safe and clean kitchen environment
  • Some grocery shopping required; must have a valid driver's license
  • Attend weekly meetings; training, development and supervision
  • Fill in for Lead Cook/Supervisor
  • Adhere to dietary restrictions for clients.
  • Independent work

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

* Passionate about cooking; homestyle and family style

* Current Food Handler's certification

* Must be 21 years of age

*Current and valid Driver's License

*Commercial cooking experience preferred

*Excellent time management

*Ability to work without constant supervision.

*Worked in a residential program and mental health can be a plus.
