Overview

Organization: Fully Active Addiction Counselor: NAC MAC

Fulshear Treatment to Transition offers residential and transitional programs for young adult women+ who are experiencing mental health and attachment issues that are holding them back from realizing their full potential. We are a comprehensive program that treats underlying issues that fuel the emotional and  dependency disorders. Our mission is to help launch healthy, strong, and integrated women+.

Position: We are currently seeking an Addiction Counselor to join our compassionate and professional team. The counselor provides individual sessions, groups focused around the intracacies of attachment disorders, transports clients to off-campus community meetings, plans bonding outings/retreats/activities, attends treatment team and clinical meetings, completes assessment testing, and captures case notes in a web-based data system. 

Responsibilities

Addiction Program Activities

Schedule 20 hours per week- MWF

Lead 2 Attachment Disorder groups per week (Mon & Fri)

Behavioral & Substance Addiction counseling sessions (30-60 mins)  weekly

Attend 2 evening meetings with clients per week

Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings on Wed afternoons at 1pm

Complete documentation in a timely manner- Session notes, group notes, treatment team notes, Master Treatment Plans

 Need understanding of dual diagnosis- mental health & attachment disorders; drug addiction, alcoholism, social media, etc.

1-2 years of relevant experience would be helpful

Plans and carries out regular activities as assigned. 

Ensures clients attend outside recovery meetings and occasionally assists in driving or goes with the clients to the meetings.

 

Individual and Group Counseling (Model Fidelity)

Conceptualizes and communicates cases through Integrated Attachment Model and DOSE

Qualifications

Employment Standards

Addiction Certified Counselor: NAC, MAC, etc

Demonstrates the company values in role

Communicates professionally and effectively with clients, parents, employees, external resources, and supervisor

Follows company policies and procedures

Maintains annual trainings and personnel record

Follows proper protocol when taking time off and in using exponent HR

Other duties as assigned
